Draft Recruitment Rule of ITO does not mention mandatory examination for newly promoted ITOs.

CBDT uploaded draft recruitment rule of ITOs a few days ago. The rule does not contain any condition for ITOs to qualify in any examination after promotion for their further increment.

Though not available in a any service condition, CBDT is going ahead with the examination agenda and NADT is in the process of devising the examination pattern.
As informed by sources, the proposed examination will be held twice in a year, with 100 as full marks. General and SC/ST candidates have to obtain 50 and 45 respectively for qualifying.
The exam may be of three parts, Objective, Subjective and Internal Assessment by RTIs after training.
DIT exam is likely to hold the examination.
It is not clear whether CBDT can impose this sort of mandatory examinations without incorporating them in the recruitment rules ? Hope, association is considering the legal path beside agitation.

Very good. There should also be exam for promotion from ITO to promotee ACIT conducted by UPSC and minimum passing should be 60 percent and the papers should be objective as well as descriptive.

Whether an sc/st inspector who became ITO in general category after passing betterment will require 50 marks or 45 marks in after training exam.
If they are forced to get 50 marks for increment, it would be injustice to dalit people

but it would be justice with non dalits. Education can never and never change rhe rotten mindset of non dalits.... But only the inity of dalits ....dekhiye aaaage kya kya hota hai kabil non dalits😀😀

We maximum IT Staffes are no where before the professional CAs and Advocates. For remedial arrangement we have to be given training. But how can this be done. If there is no arrangement for basic training. But we should have to be emparted training subject wise topic wise etc. For example there is a reason for CASS :bogus claim of LTCG related to penny stock. Maximum AOs have no any idea about this. How verifications be done. For this there should be a training arrangemen of 4-5 days so that atleast addition could be made genuinely and assessment order can also be made secure when assess goes in appeal.

Why it is not for IRS officers? Are they super genious? Most of the work for IRS officers are done by ITOs and ITIs.

At present our association is good for nothing . Few aggressive people in this department are enjoying at the cost of membership contributions. Whether there is compulsory examination or not association should not bother about this. For bringing quality in the department compulsory examination is absolutely required at all stages. There are many people in this department who became ITO without facing any standard of examination at their entry level to the department. Then, why association react on such issues.

Whats about the promotion of the consequential vacancies to the lower grade people. Is the association shows any sort of interest about this. Courageous and dedicated people should remain in the association.

May our curse be made the life of such leaders miserable who are doing leadership for their own benefits.

I challenge all the stake holders let the exam be conducted periodically to all officers and officials including top level officers. Let us find how many of them pass in it. I again challenge for it.

It means not that examination for ITO during training be not conducted seriously. This type of examinations must be conducted in a effective way so that efficiency of officers should be maintained.....

Once you entered in this deptt. You become स्वर्ण दलित. And you start exploiting real dalit. You will never think of leaving reservation in favour of deserving dalits. Only 10% of dalit is taking benefit of reservation at the cost of 90% poor dalits.

Even Ministerial Examination do not have any syllabus. How come department is holding the said exam year after year.

No Consequential promotions from ITI to ITO sofar in AP & TS. Retirement vacancies are also available.... ,But mere helplessness. None can save...We simply pray God.

I am posted in Mumbai.I have passed the departmental exam of ITO in 2006 that is almost 10 years ago. I am Inspector since 8 yrs. ...I am poor guy belonging to open categoris I am waiting for my ITO but this Parmar and betterment fucked my promotion prospects I such frustating situation to appear for another exam is nightmare

First passing must be considered for the promotion of ITI AND ITO as after passing the exam an employee become eligible for promotion. Seniority should not be the criteria for promotion as followed by other departments of central government.
