Examination at the end of training of newly promoted ITOs : Update

Recently DTRTI, Chandigarh issued a letter declaring that the examination of the ITOs ending the orientation training course will be conducted in the month of February, 2017.
This caused serious resentment among the newly promoted officers as in this matter, CBDT is yet to take any formal decision.
Accordingly JCA informed the Chairman and urged to withdraw the said instruction immediately.

Deficient APARs of ITOs : View the updated list

CBDT communicated all Pr CCITs regarding updated list of deficient APARs of ITOs under consideration zone for promotion for the vacany year 2016-17 and urged to remove deficiencies at the earliest.
Still 74 deficiencies to be removed as par the communication.

Intercharge Transfer : CBDT relaxed condition in certain cases

CBDT relaxed the criteria of three year service for intercharge transfer in certain class of employees upto 31.12.2017.
The following class of non gazetted employees can seek for inter state transfer after one year of service in that grade.
1) Physically handicapped quota
2) Whose spouse or children are differently abled.
3) Unmarried lady official
4) Spouse in Govt. job.
5) Ex serviceman

More officers and inspectors likely to be posted in Investigation Wing

After the withdrawal of old currency notes of 500/1000, Investigation Directorate have intensified enforcement action against tax evaders. As the action is being affected by shortage of manpower, Chairman CBDT asked all Pr CCITs to reorganize workforce and depute more officers and inspectors to the Investigation Wing to cope up with the need of hour.
