Under pressure from members, JCA to continue agitation

Under pressure from members from every corner of the country, JCA decided to continue the ongoing agitation and threatens to intensify it if at least some of the demands are not addressed properly.
In a letter addressed to Chairperson CBDT, JCA informs the following.
"In this connection, we are directed by the members of JCA to convey to you that if the actual number of vacancies taking into account the Assistant and Deputy Commissioners together are not computed, steps are not taken to address the stagnation in the ITO cadre, regularization of eligible casual/daily rated workers and relaxation of recruitment rules are not ordered, the issue of providing adequate infrastructure is not addressed, we will be constrained to intensify the agitation further."

  2. NOW THE MEMBERS MIGHT HAVE UNDERSTOOD THAT THE JCA IS ONLY REPRESENTING THEIR VIEWS I.E. THE MAJORITY AND NOT THEIR OWN PERSONAL VIEWS. THEREFORE, WE SHOULD STOP DOUBTING OUR LEADERS AND KEEP FAITH IN THEM AS THEY ARE BEST PLACED TO GET THE DEMANDS ACCEPTED BY THE ADMINISTRATION.
WE SHOULD LEAVE SOM AUTHORITY TO THE LEADERSHIP TO TAKE DECISIONS WHENEVER IT IS NECESSARY.
I APPEAL ALL OUR FRIEND TO BE UNITED AND STOP EXPRESSING BAD WORDS AGAINST EACH OTHER.

  4. On 27th Oct, 2015 this website commented that the agitation may be scaled down. On 30th Oct, it is commenting that the JCA has decided to intensify the agitation due to pressure from the pressure from the members. Can this website give the details of the units of JCA which put pressure on the central leadership?
Why this website is pushing negative comments against the central leadership of JCA when there is a positive attitude on the part of the said leadership in respect of the agitation issues? This website did not publish negative comments against the earlier leadership of ITGOA (that of RAJESH MENON) when they meekly surrendeded to the CBDT.

  5. Dear friend, Due to this blog members can raise their voice and can put some pressure to the leadership. Otherwise you must admit that nobody dare to say against the leaders because they can always do the harm.....transfer to a place not convenient. Especially in the ITEF...where there is no opposition and leadership is chosen through selection in stead of election !

  6. but what about the west bengal region, where promotion to the cadre of i.t.i onwards become once in a blue moon option..

  7. West Bengal ? Friend, are you not satisfied that two Gen. Secy. hail from your state unit ? Zero number of ITO posts in cadre restructure + 1633 posts diverted from your region...still you are silent. What more you deserve ? Promotion ? My Foot !

  8. What about the ITO's revised seniority list (post NRP implementation) in West Bengal ? Revising the seniority upto Inspectors have been done in war footing, why so dilly dally tactics to revise the ITOs ? Can anybody give any clue ?

  9. Problem lies in the attitude of CBDT. Regarding promotion from ITO to ACIT, it is pretending that the promotion cannot be given. It is taking the stand that only 180 promotions can be given from ITO to ACIT. It is stating that proposal is being sent to UPSC for recruitment year 2014-15 for 180 posts. Let us assume for a while that CBDT's stand of 180 posts is correct. Then also, why not send proposal of 180 more promotions for r.y. 2015-16. It has also become due. as per DOPT's calender, DPC for r.y. 2016-17 is also very near. Why not start the process for r.y. 2016-17? Fact is that CBDT does not have any interest in solving our problems.
Board has recently uploaded list of deficient APARs. What for? To show that something is being done. But can we really believe that?
By restructuring, more than 20,000 posts were created. What has the Board done till now regarding office space, furnitures, computers and all related infrastructure for the increased manpower?
CBDT should stop thinking that the department is only for IRS. We are also integral part of the department. Don't treat us outsiders or your competitor.

  10. being a group C employee belonging to west bengal aspiring for I.T.I/I.T.O is the very very basic requirement that the other parts of the country enjoy often. so, is it not the duty of rest of the regions to show some integrity in respect of promotional scenario as same career prospect should be followed irrespective of cadres through out the country specially under the banner of ItEf/itGOA ?

  11. Agenda for RS meeting:
    JCA must demand-
    1. DPC for 3014-15&2015-16 be held immediately as they are over delayed.
    2. Fate of 135 posts each for 2013-14 onwards as provided in cadre restructuring.
    3. Why cadre restructuring not applicable for ITO to ACIT when implemented for the rest?
    4. Implement in all cadres or scrap all.
    5. Why not completed NR Parmal case on war footing if thats the obstacle?
    5. Road map to fulfill other charter of demands.
    Its now or never...

  12. What about inter-charge transfer? I have not been transfered even after 8 years of continued service from Ahmedabad region. Is there anyone to speak from our side? Ahmedabad region is the worse region in this matter.

  14. To demand IAS Officers to be posted in HRD forthwith to check the step motherly treatment of IRS towards non IRS.

  15. It is requested to the leadership of JCA that the statement of RS like I will see, I will try, etc. should not be taken as an assurance. Do not withdraw the agitation on the basis of such loose assurances.
You should know that despite some negative remarks against you, majority of the members support this agitation. Don't let this momentum go waste.
CBDT has so far taken a stand contrary to the views expressed by JCA leadership. If RS can make the Board change its stand, it will reflect poorly on the Board. So, don't expect the Board to give up its stand so easily.
We all know what we are up against. But we also know we are right. So, let us stand united.

MEANINGFUL STATMENT. MAJORITY , IF NOT 100% ,OF ITGOA IS WITH JCA LEADERS. FROM WHAT WE HAVE SPOKEN , MAJORITY OF ITEF MEMBERS ALSO UNDERSTAND - NOT ONLY UNDERSTAND - SUPPORT FROM THEIR HEART. SO STAND UNITED WITH EYES ON NOTHING OTHER THAN THE GOAL. CBDT AND RS ARE NOT THERE TO WORK FOR THE WELFARE OF ITGOA/ITEF MEMBERS . THEY HAVE A LOT OF OTHER AGENDA. IT WILL TAKE ENORMOUS EFFORTS TO MAKE THEM SPEND FEW MINUTES/ SECONDS FOR OUR PURPOSE. ALL THE BEST TO ALL OF US !!!

  22. Learn from CBEC and their federations

    ReplyDelete
  23. In CBEC there is no federations and only runs on whims and fancies of IRS there and staff can't voice for their rights.

  24. I think it is high time to make data regarding seniority and vacancies whether to fill up by promotions or direct recruitment so as to ensure transparency. As long as it is not done, it will definitely mark as a symbol of ill will of the Board.

  25. In CBEC, if you dont do chamchagiri, you will be shunted out to far off 'dry' places.

  26. I heard that board is moving a proposal that henceforth ITO will have to pass UPSC test to become AC.is it true?

  27. Yes four papers of 250 marks each. Passing 60 percent. No tick mark like SSC full descriptive. And only who pass will be put in the eligibility list.

  29. Mr. Santosh
If you are from IT Department, read circulars, notifications, recruitment rules, service rules and such topics which will enlighten you as to how a person is appointed in Govt. Departments. But given the quality of input you have given, I dont think you are from the department. For your information, all those who are employed in the department have face competition and qualified from among lakhs. They are not here by begging it before someone.
As regards to the toughness of UPSC, yes it is. But does it mean that those 900 or thousand who qualify in a year are intelligent and the rest of whole country is dumb? There are different exams to test different abilities. Ask those qualifying UPSC to sit for CAT or XAT, a lot of them will not be able to make to the to grade? Forget CAT ot MAT. Ask those UPSCians to sit for Graduate level exam conducted by SSC and see how many will get stuck there?
    Maintain the quality of discussion.

  30. Yes we must protest. Else only DR ITIs would pass the exam. Rest will retire as ITOs
