Instruction issued for promotion to Group B and C cadres for vacancy year 2017-18

CBDT issued instruction to conduct DPC for promotion to Gr B & C cadres for the vacancy year 2017-18, without waiting for the new recruitment rules. 
As the recruitment rule for the cadre of Executive Assistant is yet to be notified, current promotion may be allowed as per the existing recruitment rule for O.S., Sr T.A. and Stg gr I.

  5. I cant understand why people are that much eager for new Recruitment Rules? One side they made 10 years from TA/Steno to E.A in Central Excise and also made 90% DR for ITI. Are they expecting some exceptional scenario for our Department? Let them be postponed so that our juniors won't suffer with the 10 year rule. I agree with ITEF on this matter.

New recruitment rules are needed to prevent stenographers from being promoted to ITI in totally unjustified fashion especially at the cost of more talented senior tax assistants and office superintendents. In fact post of stenographer should be abolished from this department as this post is nothing but a short for getting promotion to ITI. Stenographers are totally useless in this department.

    3. Really many Sr.TAs and O.S. are suffering to get promotion to Inspector cadre. The ratio of Sr.TA and Steno for getting promotion to the cadre of ITI is not reasonable because at the time of need stenos got the ratio what they needed. For the last 15 years they are getting very early promotions, whereas very senior S.TAs (before old restructure UDCs) are waiting for promotions for decades. Hence old ratio should be implemented from last restructure I.e., 2000 year onwards and justice of equality should be done to both cadres by equality for ex. a Sr.TA get promotion in 8 years Steno also should get in 8 years only but not less than 8 years and accordingly the ratio should be changed. - Equality - Equality.

  10. well said chandra shekhar ji i also cannot under stand why all the persons are waiting for new RR are they want to be pramoted from 2400 to 4200 after 10 years or they want to remain at 4200 for minimum 5 years service for the next promotion as ITI

    2. Dear comrade at least in our charge there are no stenographers recruited through compassionate ground and sports quota. But I have seen many tax assistants from compassionate appointment and all group D caders who got promoted to tax assistant like you howling for inspector promotion

  17. Mr. 12:58 pm it ur problem what do u think. But comments about steno is more than 100% relevant. 10+2 pass steno should not be promoted earlier than cgl passed graduate ta or even Sr.ta.Everyone in the department (except steno) knows that it is wrong and undue benefit given to steno.

  18. Stenos are the backbone and future of this department. In almost all the functionary charges they are pulling the department otherwise this deptt would have merged due to incompetence of 7.35. Exams are being taken of GK and X standard maths.From technical work to assessment charge stenos are doing successfully.

My dear comrades where your conscience go when a TA got promotion in the name of mere passing 1000 key depression per minute with the undue aid of departmental fellows from 2400 grade pay to 4200 grade pay.Now charity earners are raising question of justification of ITI promotion for stenographers? There are instances that many successful Addl CITs of our department hail from the cadre Of stenographers. We are proud of them. Only insane beggars like you can raise question of non-granting promotion to stenos, who fails to write a single official letter correctly in English language. What is the use of giving promotion to these beggars,who don't have abilities to perform official work at least correctly in official language. They will earn bad name for the department in future.

  20. Dear 1.31 I would like to add maximum non stenos even do not know how assessment to be completed,ITD module as well. Drafting of orders...survey questionnaire not to mention here. Worst ever. Some of them not aware of debit and credit concept. For that cause of inactivity department is going to take exam after promotion.

  23. Stay has been granted by Gujarat High Court for further promotion to promotee ACIT.

    Hence no further promotion to ACIT till full implemented all seniority related court decisions.

  25. Kindly do not deprive us the benefit of Rajeev Mohan case. Many benefitted due to implementation of N R Parmar case. Why there is hesitation to implement Rajeev Mohan case.It is also Hon'ble Supreme Court decision.

  27. How this department personnel section is functioning is a miracle. Where n r parmar is implemented rajeev mohan case is kept separated. Beacause higher functionary are not affected thay are least bothered. Infighting among the bottom cadre give some entertainment to them.

    1. Until and unless all promotees will be united implementation of any verdict including Rajiv Mohan is not possible....promotees are destine makers of the deptt as they are well aware of the work and legitimate flag bearer of the deptt.

  29. Hiii..As you all know that CBDT issued instructions for conducting DPCs for Recruitment Year 2017-18 with existing RRs for Group 'C' cadre i.e. TA/Steno/Os etc. Furthermore, Steno Gr. II cadre has been given 1 year relaxation to promote to Steno Gr. I. Therefore, Stenos Gr.II who is completing his 4 years continues service as Steno Gr. II will be promoted as Steno Gr. I. So, my query is that....I joined the department as Steno Gr. II on 19-06-2013 and completing my 4 years service on 19-06-2017. So am I eligible to promote to Steno Gr. I in this Recruitment Year i.e. 2017-18.
