CBDT asked all cadre controlling CCAs to complete ACR dossiers immediately for those who are in the consideration zone for promotion in the next higher grade consequent upon the cabinet approval of additional manpower in the Income Tax Department. DPCs for promotion in the next higher grade to commence shortly.

Cadre restructuring in CBDT : About pending ACRs/APARs
ACR/APAR s are the biggest challenge for promotion in DPC. Many ACR/APARs are pending and the vigilence section is doing hard to up- todate the ACR/APARs of the officers/officials who are in consideration Zone in the latest Cadre restructuring in the department. One of the major reason for non availablity of ACRs is, officers are transferred out to other juridictions/charges and due to non fixation of resposibility on officers for writing ACRs of their subordinates in a time bound manner.
In present situation when department is fixition time limits for smooth implementation Cadre restructuring . How ACR/APARs are made uptodate?
If department made provision like online uploading of ACRs/APARs by the officials/officers for all the period missing and current on internet . And the uploaded ACRs/APARs are transferred through a software to the concerned reporting officers and reviewing officers portal and the officers through their user ID and password can assess such pending ACRs/APARs. They can dispose these ACRs/APARs at once or in a time bond maner. The vigilence section then easily download these completed ACRs/APARs.
