It is learnt that more posts are going out from West Bengal region in the next three years. The detailed roadmap for cadre restructuring consists divertion of more than 1600 posts to different regions including Ahmedabad, Bangalore etc. This include posts of different cadres. A communication in this regard reached Pr CCIT, WB & Sikkim office yesterday. A total number of 17 ITO posts are going to be diverted to other regions in a phased manner. In the first year 9 posts are going out and so on. Also a number of Executive Assistant and other posts are set to be diverted in the next three years. Details of this diversion is not available with us right now. It will be informed soon.

w bengal has achieved more posts on previous cader restructuring in 2002. Many posts have no work. A large number of staffs are wondering near Howarh Bridge. Truth is always souer.

Kindly go through the demands of JCA, WB. If their demand is justified. Then, kindly release more officers and employees to the Pr.CCIT, WB & Sikkim.
ITEF and ITGOA leaders, please wake up before it is too late. Go for some all out action instead of "dharna" and "non cooperation". If necessary, pull out from central body, they seldom care about WB unit. So why to send them money ?
even after cadre restructuring, the WB region officials will get their promotion every 03 years, which is not so in all other charges (eg., even after CR, places like HYD, BNG will get ITO promotion only after 07-08 years). So the staff at WB are lucky even after CR as more posts have not been taken off for the sake of equality among all regions.
Very disgusting to see such comments equivalent to floccinaucinihilipilification for the IT family members of WB by other IT family members..Plz go to the Bengal and see the right situation there...now it has become a myth to get promotion to ITO in Bengal within 6 years...If collection is the only criterion to get seats in CR instead of WORKLOAD, then each and every Govt. and their institutions should be abolished wherever the collection is negative......In a family, wherever income is less than the last year,they should start killing their family members....
Plz ponder over these remarks sincerely and do not give worthless comments..& now the only option left for WB members that they should go to the court for natural justice against the injustice made with them in this CR.
somebody mentioned that even after cr the wb charge will get promotion after 3 years . pl go through the data properly then comment. here in wb executive assistant to inspector stagnation is over 8 years after cr it will be 15 years. it will happen to your charge also in future. so pl do not make comments which you do not know.
you must be from delhi, thats why you can say like that. If you have dare then come to wb through intercharge transfer then you can understand the situation. here no one can get promotion in their entire service life.

disgusting....income tax department is on the verge of closure in west bengal...no work is happening in department from 07.04.2014....unity of west bengal employee is appreciable...
Very good decision taken by the board. Staff of West Bengal don't work at all.They know only politics. More post of ITO and ITI should be withdrawn from this charge.For this patna CCA itef and itgoa will support IRS association and board.
The revenue collection of patna region is 7,200 crore where as W.B. region collection is about 28,000 crore. The revenue collection is one of the main criterion for allocation of post, then number of I.T.O. post at patna should be at about 1/4 th of I.T.O. strength of W.B. i.e. 115. But in patna regoin, the post of ito after cr will be 202. why this injustice with W.B. region
we should congratulate the union of WB for such honest behaviour
at least now the cbdt has taken a bold decision . i feel the cbdt has done justice to the other emerging regions , where the prospect of generation of more revenue is available . the wb charge has already relished excess man power till now . staffs are going to office at 11.30 am and leaving the office by 4.30pm . is this the work culture advisable in the developing nation ? staffs in wb region are more fond of indulging in unions than doing work ?
I wish CBDT would have taken this decision in the last cadre restructuring .
It is really surprising and disgusting to read comments of fellow on CR post allocation to WB region where already great injustice has been done in CR.All over India got new posts in CR whereas WB region got naught.
Now if the information circulated on this blog to be believed true, then again great injustice would be meted out with WB region without any logical conclusion.
First of all if revenue collection is the sole parameter, then Board should first make responsible to the higher official i.e. the CCIT and the CIT and why Board has not issued guidelines-cum-warning if negative budget persisted regularly and why Board has not transferred higher official and deputed more revenue yielding higher official in this region.
Instead, Board has crucified the career of sub-ordinates.
Friends! it is easy to cultivate plants on fertile land and reap benefits rather than on barren land of WB region in respect of revenue collection. Inspite of this, we are gradually changing it into fertile land.
Please think within yourselves before coming to any harsh conclusion and awake from your inner conscience and come united on this issue as a family and do not comments in unhealthy manner.
In the case of WB region, it is a clear case of deprivation of natural justice embedded in our constitution and whole WB region should seek immediately legal recourse.
The selfish and sly members are supporting the step of CBDT regarding injstce made the officials of WB Regeion. ITEF, Bengal Region Should call for strike otherwise all members should quit from ITEF.
it is not good for wb, as the benefits of the cr should first go to the promotee officer as the have faced the fight for CR. Further, it is not logical that in one region such as Delhi 1000 posts of inspectors are given where only 400 persons are available for promotion and rest 600 posts are going to SSC for direct recruitment, these posts should have been diverted to any other region where posts are less than the candidates waiting for their promotion. No body should be left un-promoted on the ground that less posts are given to that particular region and diverted to other regions where candidates are not available. This should be followed for every posts.
8 years of stagnation in promotion from executive assistant to inspector in W B is normal and even short in comparision to some other charges.

Wb charge is pampered one. Who is stopping them to be dissociated from chq. Save money. Think about accumulation of subscription in recurring deposit.
Charity begins at home. U were still enjoying extra post which was due to other charges in last cr. U did not care about others. Now it is ur turn. Union is about self own charge and discourse only for rest.
U are reaping what u had shown.

I am from Bihar and we suffered a lot in the last restructing but I personally feel it is a gross injustice to the WB friends in the present CR. The methodology of allotment is not correct. It seems this is a centralised allocation of post mainly to populist cities.
Every opinion may have two aspects. One may be contrary to the others but does not means one is beneficial to the others. In the present time IRS loby mainly the senior officer do not want to work in small towns. This resulted in most centralised allocation of post.
The logic they adopted in such type of allocation may have another aspects. In previous restructuring the emphasis was on to decentralisation of establishement and opened a number of offices at small town. But in this restructuring such policies adoped in earlier year was dispensed with.
Actually such inordinate allotment is based to appease the IRS lobby to accomodate maximum numbrr in populist cities.
So friends we must oppose the steps taken against WB. If it is against WB today it may be against us tomorrows.
WB must be given their due right. If not much atleast some.

This is injustice. This is virtual war against WB. Defend with all might.
WB charge is over sized and it should be pruned over the period of time. No justification for more posts as demanded by JCA, Bengal.
west bengal has already enjoyed the benefits. There are no assessee or collection to justify the no. of staff.
Ssc2006 driti , join iti nov 2009 in wb. Exam of ito clear in dec2011 . I will promote in 2018 at least because there are150 iti are waiting for promotion before me after clearing the exam
Most of the CR posts went to DELHI, then let us all unite (except DELHI - which are enjoying the CR-2013 benefits like WB did earlier) and fight for right and the formula used for bifurcation. Let CBDT openly show the formula and allocate accordingly and not to their choices.
Why patna region got 100 ito seat whereas collection of patna region is1/4 of w.b.. the ito should be 1/4 of strength of w.b. i.e . 460/4= 115. Why in patna region got total 200 ito

Government should be ready to loose collection of at least Rs 25000 crore in the year 2014-15 from WB charge...
Tamil Nadu got less number of posts comparing to its work load and revenue. Earlier TN got around 10% of posts then reduced to 8% and at present only 6%. No body taking up this issue.
Please tell from when the promotions from ITI to ITO is going to be made on the basis of CR posts?

FROM THIS ANYBODY CAN UNDERSTAND WHEN A PERSON IS PROMOTED AS iti BEFORE CADRE RESTUCTURING: YEAR 94 ldc IS PROMOTED AS AO IN MARCH 2014.97 UDC IS PROMOTED AS ITI IN DECEMBER 2013. IF EVERY REGION IS PUBLISHING THE DRAFT SENIORITY LIST AND RECENT PROMOTION ORDERS THERE WILL NOT BE ANY BIASED OPINIONS BY OUR OWN BROTHERS. IF WB UNIT FURNISH THE SENIORITY LIST AND RECENT PROMOTION ORDERS, IF SOME JUSTICE IS THERE INTHEIR PART, EVERY ITEF MEMBERS WILL SUPPORT THEM.

WB has lost its significance at centre. The last 40 years, WB is not at the helm of the power at centre, except 4 very short period/s occasionally. WB has to face many such Political Wrath and Bureaucratic vendetta. Its the consequence of EKLA CHALO RE.
Hi iti ssc exam 1989.joined 1991. PASSED ito 1995. ITO 2001. AWAITING ORDER FOR ACIT. did any of the friends in WB understand what they had done with surgical precision to the system. let's debate.
Time has come to change the work culture of West Bengal comrades. In this era you can't dictate terms without doing any fruitful work to the organization in which you are working. I know how our WB comrades work in the Office, when they come and going home from Office etc., How they behave with superiors and public etc., Dhadhagiri will not work for a long. So I request all the Comrades of WB to come forward to accept the ground reality that WB has more number of posts with regard to workload and revenue comparing to other Regions. Please change your work culture at least from now onwards. Work hard to achieve more targets in futute so that in the next Cadre Restructure you will get more number of posts to WB. Finally one simple sentence to all my WB comrades. PERFORM HEREAFTER OR YOU WILL PERISH IN FUTURE.
