Quartely Review Meeting with Chairperson, CBDT today (22/11/2013)

It is learnt that the quarterly review meeting of ITEF/ITGOA with Chairperson, CBDT is scheduled in the afternoon of 22.11.2013. Hopefully some inside news regarding progress of cadre review and distribution of posts may be known in the meeting.

Promotion from Addl CIT to CIT : DPC held on 19.11.2013
Regarding allocation of posts, it is learnt from reliable sources that the core committee will meet on 21st Nov and finalize the regionwise allocation of additional posts. The report will reach Chairperson, CBDT through DG(HRD) and the final notification will be issued by CBDT. Some hints about allocation may be known after the core committee meeting.

Charge/Region wise allocation of posts on 22nd Nov ?

It is learnt from sources that an important meeting of the core committee of cadre review implementation is scheduled on 21st of this month. Chairperson has reportedly said that some "good news" are likely to be announced on 22nd. It is reported that she made this comment while inaugurating a office building in Godhra, Gujarat. CAT Allahabad stays Kanpur charge for promotion from ITI to ITO unless seniority re-fixed as per "Parmar" case

 Intrim Order of Allahabad CAT-No further DPC from the post of income tax inspector to the post of Income Tax Officer until unless the seniority list is revised and drwan up properly in accordance with the judgment of Hon'ble Apex Court in the case of Union of india vs N. R. parmar.

Adhoc promotion of 185 JCITs regularised

The President is pleased to promote the following officers of Indian Revenue Service from the grade of Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax to officiate on regular basis in the grade of Joint Commissioner of Income Tax in the Pay Band 3 — Rs. 15,600 — 39,100 + 7,600 (Grade Pay) with immediate effect. 
2. The promotions are subject to the outcome of the judgment in SLP (C) No. 21339/2012 with IA No. 2/2012 pending before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in the matter titled Vikas Keraba Suryavanshi & Ors. Vs. UOI & Ors.
