Promotion to CCIT soon

Update on 12.12.13 : Promotion order is likely to be issued at any time. The file went for FM's approval on Dec 6 and most probably, the process is complete by now.
It is learnt from sources that promotion order for the post of CCITs is going to be issued within a couple of days. It may be today or tomorrow. The list of 37 CITs eligible for promotion has already been published on 27th of last month.

Implementation of Supreme Court order on Inter-se Seniority: Likely to be finalized on 11th Dec

ITEF and ITGOA participated in a meeting with DGIT(HRD) yesterday regarding implementation of Parmar judgement. Some more inputs in this regard are to be obtained and it was decided to finalize the issue on the next meeting on 11th December 2013.

"On our persistent demand and discussions with the Chairperson and Member (P&V), for withdrawal of the Instructions issued by the CBDT on 15th October, 2013 and issuance of clear instructions to CCAs regarding the manner of implementation to bring about uniformity in the matter in all Charges, a meeting of ITEF and ITGOA representatives were convened by the DGIT (HRD) and other Officials on 3rdDecember, 2013.

 In the meeting broad consensus were reached on many of the points to implement the Judgement.  In order to convey a clear cut and uniform instructions to the CCAs, the meeting felt that some more details are to be obtained from various agencies of the Government/sections of CBDT etc. and decided to meet again on 11th December, 2013 to finalaise the issue.  We are hopeful that the matter will be resolved in the said meeting and proper instructions issued thereafter to CCAs to implement the judgement in a uniform manner in all Charges and in all Cadres."

Gist of discussion in Video Conference on 28.11.2013

Today Video Conference of CBDT with CCsIT and DGsIT has been held on scheduled time. All the predetermined issues including issue of Cadre Restructuring were discussed. CBDT informed that reports of all subcommittees except Subcommittee for allocation of posts and jurisdiction have been received. It is also informed that this subcommittee will submit the report tomorrow i.e. 29.11.2013.

Agitated with ITEF, direct inspectors of 2005 batch resigning from association

Yesterday on 27.11.2013 on the anniversary of Hon'ble Supreme court decision in the case of N.R.Parmar & Others, Direct Recruit Income Tax Inspectors of 2005 batch resigned from the membership of ITEF as the Group C employees union is showing step motherly treatment towards DRs. They also  requested their respective DDOs to not to deduct ITEF subscription from the next month.
One of such resignation letter is with us and it is being reproduced here. For the sake of privacy the name and charge has intentionally been masked.

CCIT promotion : Order re-issued

A list of 37 number of officers published by CBDT in F.No. A-32011/02/2012-AD.VI Dtd. 27.11.2013. The officers are requested to exercise online option for posting within 29.11.2013. The vacancy position is also enclosed.
The list was first published yesterday but due to some unknown reason, the order had been removed very quickly from the official website.

It is learnt that the reason behind withdrawal of promotion list from the official website is that it contained name of two such officers who had already retired.
The retired officers whose name were inadvertently mentioned in the list were Mr Srinivasulu and Mr Kuldeep Singh.
