After the withdrawal of old currency notes of 500/1000, Investigation Directorate have intensified enforcement action against tax evaders. As the action is being affected by shortage of manpower, Chairman CBDT asked all Pr CCITs to reorganize workforce and depute more officers and inspectors to the Investigation Wing to cope up with the need of hour.

Timely training of officers/Inspectors in Investigation and field formations is a must without which the core purpose of posting the officers/officials will be defeated. Best investigations and enquiries should be appreciated to boost up morale amongst the tax personnel.

As far as I know, there are 24 inspectors under Range 23 & 24, Hooghly under Pr. CIT-8 Kolkata which is more than the specified limits prescribed after Board's Restructuring order dated 14-11-2014. They may be of great use for unveiling the money trail drives initiated by the Board. Please some one draw attention of Pr CCIT,WB& Sikkim to withdraw the excess inspectors to cope up with the prevalent situation.

After long time, the Department is in good looks of general public thanks to our constant fight against black money after math of demonitization. Now its right time to the central JCA to meet FM or Revenue Secretary to raise the issue of disparity between the scales of ITO/ITI/TA with their counterparts in IB/C & AG/CBI etc.,

In west Bengal, the promotion prospect of Sr. TAs to Inspector is very bleak.Even after passing of 10 years in service and qualifying departmental exam. both ITOship and ITI(more than 10 years) employees are availing MACP. But peons are being promoted to the grade of Sr. TA and leaders of ITEF are sleeping where as in the other reason only after 3-4 years of passing exam. employees are being promoted to ITI. All employees of Bengal reason are requested to protest the same.
