Allocation not finalized even on 30th January evening !

It is learnt that allocation of posts could not be finalized after today's (30.01.14) meeting. Earlier, two days' meeting of 27th and 28th January reportedly finalized distribution of CIT and higher posts. No meeting took place on 29th for early closure of north block offices (beating retreat function). The meeting resumed today but remained inconclusive. It is widely anticipated that the distribution of lower cadre posts will be done tomorrow.

The functional cadres are very much handicapped that their mouth is plastered. They are not even dared to drop a positive / negative views on my postings. Hence I am stopping my scribbling, which are only to be laughed at. One request - let nobody hide their ID while posting a comment - be brave and bold in expressing your views. Thank you sir.

If conversion takes place as it happened in 2001, the department will be destroyed.Peon will become AC....Though we should demand justice but not at the cost of health of department. ..There are many ITO'S who can't write spelling of retrieve. ...

Jagho Board members jaldhi jagho.

It only requires a swift and direct action on the part of board members to implement the cadre review. Govt has not faulted but let me assure that our board members will surely default due to their incapability.......

the fault of itef is it did not ask even for all the additional post of restructure for its existing employees as that was in 2001. For whom they stand?

I appreciate the positive attitude of the fellow ITians that the review will come through soon

2001 was total destruction. It should not be repeated in 2014.Moreover upsc must take exam to promote an ITO to AC so that literate and learned people can come to field formation. In IT department,a peon retires from AC whereas hardly a inspector becomes AC in custom and excise.we as IT EF must raise these issues before RS and FM. We can not question the wisdom of CBDT however we hope that CR is implemented as soon as possible

In 2006, the Board has created additional posts in the cadre Inspectors and out of this 1/3 rd posts were requisitioned to the SSC in February 2007 to recruit DRs ( 808 candidates). Instead advertising subsequent to the receipt of requisition from the board, the SSC has recruited 813 candidates from 2005 notification by advertising only 5 vacancies ie the DRs who were joined in the department in 2008 have occupied future vacancies from the previous examination ie 2005 instead from 2007 advertisement or subsequent to that. The 808 candidates were to be put enblock below all the promotees who have joined as Inspectors in 2008. Before settling this issue by the CBDT, if allocates posts to the states, the DRs may again approach to CATs for stay of DPC even though they know their appointment is illegal in the eyes of LAW as the Supreme court has ruled the law in implecation of any by violating the articles 14 and 16(1) constitution of India. My request to the Board to please settle this issue by requesting the President of India who is the only one could give mercy to those who were appointed beyond the advertised vacancies and then review the DoPT OM 3.3.2008 is applicable to them.

Dear friend...why the exams only for ITO to AC, why not for AC to DC, why not for DC to JC etc. I think in this deptt. so many IRS are working without merit...how they have been selected... out of understanding... I think u too would be agree with me....why only the sufferers be lower post holder...

Definitely...it must take exam for being an AC from ITO but similarly the same exam should be taken for being jt./Addl CIT & onwards. Because an ITO & AC both r A.O....... Gentleman I m inclined to mention herethat if a peon retires from AC, this is his/her talancy. He/She has to pass difficult exams on different stages and he/she proves his/her eligibility for the higher posts. Therefore such silly & ridicullous suggession/idea should not be taken into consideration.

Make compulsory the departmental promotion examinations for all cadres , I mean to say, starting from MTS to Board Members, other wise stop it completely. Do not churn the life of only middle cadres who are entering to this department after passing a requisite standard of examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission of India. Please, do not under estimate to the standard of SSC. Departmental promotion examination is absolutely not required for all who enters to this department through SSC or PCS. Promotion on the basis of ACR, Seniority and Training should be considered.

Those who are taking pain, sincere, hardworking and senior should be considered for promotion irrespective of passing any departmental promotion examinations. Such ability can be judged from ones ACR for a period not less than three years. Extra marks may be given to the person who passed the departmental promotion examinations. Promotion should be given on the basis of performance only not passing the DPEs.

People should aware that there was a ban on recruitment imposed by the BJP government which was continued by the Congress government. When the ban was continued in other deparments, our department got one mini cadre restructure by pursuing the government for filling up of vacant posts so as to optimize the revenue in the year 2007 around 7000 posts from which around 800 DR inspectors recruited in IT department. The unfilled posts which was lying vacant for more than a year is deemed to be abolished as per the instructions of the government while implementing ban on recruitment. How come the DR inspectors can claim the seniority of 2005 when there was ban on recruitment by the government and the additional posts were created only in the year 2007?. This issue should be sorted out while implementing parmar case.
