It is learnt from reliable sources in New Delhi that the proposed examination for newly promoted ITOs have been kept in abeyance by CBDT. It may be mentioned that as per the directive of Revenue Secretary, unless the exam is passed, the increment of the ITOs will be stopped.

It is learnt that the proposed examination after training will be de-linked from earning subsequent increment and till then RTIs of any region will not take the examination. Details and official order is awaited and will be uploaded as as soon as procured

Reason for delay in new RR is that DOPT is not accepting for 3 yrs period for TA to EA b coz in central excise mini period TA to EA is 10 years & 5 yrs for ITI.
Negotiation is on for 5 yrs for TA to EA. Only after this new RR will be published. It may take months too ???
Delhi Pr. CCIT posted 2 ITO and 1 inspector in HRD for preparation of seniority list for the promotion of ITO to ACIT and the promotion will be made very soon
Dear Admin. what the news about ITO to ACIT promotion?
Due to falling functional standards of ITOs HRD is finalising the exam for promotion to promotee ACIT. Only those ITOs who pass the Limitted dept exam for ACIT will be eligible for ACIT promotion

What is latest position of Ito to Acit. Promotion for RY 2016-17. When it will be released. Administrators pl clarify the authenticity of news post above.
